Titan Group Appoints Heiko Mutzelburg as CEO of German Subsidiary

has been appointed CEO of Energy (Germany), the German arm of Chinese wind components manufacturer . Mutzelburg, who brings over a decade of experience in the offshore wind industry, will officially assume his role on 16 September.

Titan Group's founder and CEO, Junxu Yan, welcomed Mutzelburg's appointment, highlighting his leadership and extensive background in offshore wind and monopile production. “Heiko brings an impressive blend of leadership expertise and business know-how to the table,” said Yan. “With his many years of experience in the world of Offshore wind and monopile industry, he will be instrumental in advancing our build-up and transformation process in Cuxhaven, Germany.”

Mutzelburg, who has overseen more than 40 offshore wind projects and managed over 2,500 foundations since 2010, expressed his enthusiasm for the new position. “For the monopile industry, Titan Wind Germany stands out because of the strategic location, very good conditions in the facility, and strong market demand,” he said. “That fact, together with a promising business model geared towards the Net Zero target is a unique base for starting a successful business in and that attracted me to make my decision to join Titan.”

The announcement comes as Titan moves forward with a €300 million investment in Cuxhaven, where it plans to build a production plant for XXXL monopiles. The facility, which was announced in June 2024, is expected to deliver its first monopile by the summer of 2026. Once fully operational, the plant will employ over 600 people.

Mutzelburg's leadership is seen as a key asset for Titan Group's expansion in Europe, as the company aims to strengthen its position in the offshore wind market.
