RWE Appoints Kevin Kroll as COO of US Renewables Business

has named as the chief operating officer of its US renewables division, RWE Clean Energy. In his new role, Kroll will be responsible for overseeing the growth of the business, as well as managing engineering, construction, and operations across RWE's North American renewable generation assets, which include over 130 operating projects.

Kroll's duties will encompass project execution, performance management, engineering, asset management, and operations and maintenance. He will complete the executive leadership team under CEO Andrew Flanagan, alongside CFO Ingmar Ritzenhofen and CCO Christoph Hunfeld.

Kroll joins RWE Clean Energy from McKinsey & Company, where he served as a partner, advising clients on decarbonization and sustainability. Before McKinsey, he spent a decade in operational leadership roles focused on nuclear construction in and the US.

Andrew Flanagan commented on the appointment, saying, “With his extensive knowledge of the global energy sector and a career-long commitment to promoting decarbonized energy , Kevin's experience is an excellent addition to the RWE Clean Energy team.
