The American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE) has finalized its board composition for the year 2024, with seven new members officially joining the Board of Directors effective January 1.
The new additions include Puneet Verma, Vice President of Government Affairs at Avangrid; Robin Millican, Senior Director of U.S. Policy and Advocacy at Breakthrough Energy; Sandhya Ganapathy, Chief Executive of EDP Renewables North America; Christian Warren, Chief Executive and President of Midflare Corporation; James Giamarino, Chief Commercial Officer at Orsted Americas; Adam Altenhofen, Bancorp Impact Finance; and Jordan Newman, Wells Fargo.
Simultaneously, current board members elected or appointed to new three-year terms are Pat Reiten from Berkshire Hathaway Energy, Mit Buchanan from JP Morgan, Himanshu Saxena from Lotus Infrastructure Partners, and Laura Beane from Vestas.
ACORE President and Chief Executive Ray Long expressed enthusiasm about the new board, stating, “We are delighted to kick off the new year by welcoming a terrific class of new and returning members to ACORE's Board of Directors. This group has a wealth of experience that will provide invaluable support for ACORE as we work to build America's renewable energy future.”

Kevin Gresham, ACORE's Board Chair and Senior Vice President of Government Relations & Regulatory Affairs at RWE Clean Energy, congratulated the new members, emphasizing the collective expertise and leadership they bring to the organization. Gresham believes their addition positions ACORE strongly to navigate the ongoing energy transition and continue supporting its member companies.
