KENC Engineering Secures Contract for Seafastening of Baltic Sea Offshore Substation

has been awarded the contract for the seafastening of two large jackets for an high voltage substation (OHVS) in the . The transmission asset will connect to a 927MW offshore in the region.

The contract encompasses the design and engineering of the seafastening for the OHVS substructures. The steel jackets, weighing 3,700 metric tons each and standing approximately 33 meters tall, will be positioned vertically on a barge during transport. KENC's lower and upper grillage system will provide essential support for the jackets during this transition.

The engineering work is scheduled for completion in November 2024. The 927MW offshore wind project, named , is being constructed in the German Baltic Sea.
