Portuguese renewables firm EDP Renováveis SA has announced a new corporate power purchase agreement (PPA) with Google LLC, marking a significant step towards supplying electricity from a 100 MW solar project in Dubois County, Indiana.
Commencing in 2025, the 15-year PPA will see EDP Renováveis delivering clean energy to Google, supporting the tech giant's ambitious goal of achieving 24/7 carbon-free energy across all its operations by 2030.
EDP Renováveis highlighted that the agreement underscores its robust presence in North America and will contribute to expanding its current portfolio, which includes 3.1 GW of solar capacity under operation and construction.
