Enerdeal, a subsidiary of Portuguese utility EDP, has been awarded a contract to deploy 7 megawatts peak (MWp) of distributed generation (DG) solar systems at The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company's facilities in Colmar-Berg, Luxembourg.
Announced today, the agreement includes the installation of a 5 MWp rooftop solar array and a 2 MWp carport system, set to generate approximately 6,500 megawatt-hours (MWh) of clean electricity annually for onsite consumption at Goodyear.
The solar systems are expected to be operational by early 2025, supporting Goodyear's sustainability objectives to transition all manufacturing operations to renewable energy by 2040.
EDP highlighted its extensive experience in DG solar installations, having deployed over 2 gigawatts peak (GWp) capacity for business and residential clients globally.
