Greenvolt Next Completes 1.17-MWp Solar System for Teixeira Duarte in Portugal

Next, the distributed generation (DG) division of Portuguese renewables developer Greenvolt – Energias Renovaveis SA, has activated a 1.17-megawatt peak (MWp) system for Teixeira Duarte at its operational center in Montijo, southern .

The completion of the project was announced on Thursday, with Greenvolt Next detailing that the solar array comprises 2,155 modules now operational.

Expected to generate approximately 1,716 megawatt-hours (MWh) annually, the solar system is projected to offset 823 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions per year for Teixeira Duarte.

Greenvolt Group reported a distributed generation backlog totaling 246 MWp across as of the first quarter of 2024.
