Greenvolt Next, the distributed generation (DG) division of Portuguese renewables developer Greenvolt – Energias Renovaveis SA, has activated a 1.17-megawatt peak (MWp) solar system for Teixeira Duarte at its operational center in Montijo, southern Portugal.
The completion of the project was announced on Thursday, with Greenvolt Next detailing that the solar array comprises 2,155 modules now operational.
Expected to generate approximately 1,716 megawatt-hours (MWh) annually, the solar system is projected to offset 823 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions per year for Teixeira Duarte.
Greenvolt Group reported a distributed generation backlog totaling 246 MWp across Europe as of the first quarter of 2024.
