IX Renewables has announced a strategic partnership with Japan's GF Corporation for the Rui-Li Phase 1 Floating Offshore Wind Project in Taiwan, positioning itself for the upcoming floating offshore wind tender. This initiative, anticipated to be officially launched by the Taiwanese government, aims to set benchmarks for floating offshore wind in the Taiwan Strait—a crucial step towards future commercial-scale tenders, all expected to adopt floating technology.
According to IX Renewables, partnering with GF Corp strengthens the project's potential to advance Taiwan's green energy objectives. “Teaming up with GF Corp enhances the project's ability to contribute to Taiwan's green energy ambitions,” IX Renewables affirmed.
The Rui-Li 1 project has garnered significant interest from both local and international stakeholders, reflecting optimism about its role in Taiwan's Floating Demonstration initiative. This demonstration is poised to pave the way for broader adoption of floating offshore wind technologies in the region.
IX Renewables continues to engage in ongoing discussions with stakeholders, underscoring confidence in the project's capabilities and its alignment with Taiwan's renewable energy goals.
