Ridge Clean Energy Receives Approval for Solar Farm and Battery in East Riding, UK

Ridge Clean Energy (RCE) has been granted planning approval to erect a farm and in East Riding, Yorkshire, . The project, named Three Oaks Park (REP), is slated to boast a capacity of 39MW and will be situated between Thornholme and Haisthorpe.

As part of the endeavor, the Three Oaks Community Benefit Fund is anticipated to allocate £20,000 annually over the 40-year lifespan of the initiative. Managed jointly by East Riding of Yorkshire Council and Burton Agnes and Carnaby Parish Councils, the fund aims to support local social, educational, and environmental initiatives.

Marjorie Glasgow, co-founder and CEO of Ridge Clean Energy, expressed elation at the approval, stating: “We are delighted East Riding of Yorkshire Council have granted consent for Three Oaks Renewable Energy Park. As a company, we aim to set a new standard for clean energy projects in the UK, through effective integration of renewable energy, community involvement, and environmental protection.”

The project promises to yield positive ecological outcomes, with a projected net gain of 69% in local . This will be accomplished through various measures such as the planting of new trees and hedgerows, establishment of wildflower meadows and species-rich grasses, and enhancement of existing hedgerows.
