SENS LSG, a joint venture between German solar developer Iqony Solar Energy Solutions (SENS) and Austrian engineering company LSG Group, has successfully linked two solar farms totaling 141 MWp to the Bulgarian power grid, the partnership announced on Thursday.
The solar farms, comprising one with a capacity of 91 MWp and another with 50 MWp, are situated in the municipality of Dalgo Pole, where they complement SENS LSG's existing project, the company disclosed.
“Solar energy is pivotal for sustainable power generation, and these projects underscore our commitment to advancing clean energy solutions,” stated Kurt Stuart Ristl, Head of Project Sales at SENS LSG.
SENS LSG, previously known as STEAG Solar Energy Solutions GmbH, previously connected a 66-MWp solar farm in Dalgo Pole in 2022, swiftly commencing work on the subsequent 50-MWp segment. Acting as the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractor for all three projects, SENS LSG collaborated with Bulgaria's Galaxy Investment Group.
With the three Dalgo Pole solar farms now operational, they are projected to produce over 280,000 MWh of electricity annually, contributing significantly to Bulgaria's renewable energy goals.
“We are delighted to have successfully completed three projects of this scale. The rapid realization of these projects is proof of the commitment and expertise of our team at SENS LSG and of the trust placed in us,” Ristl added.
