Ingeteam has been tapped by Acciona Energía as a key technology partner for a groundbreaking 380MW project.

Named the Aldoga Solar Farm, the expansive venture is strategically situated 20 kilometers northwest of Gladstone along the Central Queensland Coast. Anticipated to generate around 350 jobs during its 18-month construction phase, the project underscores Australia's commitment to sustainable energy initiatives.

The collaboration between Ingeteam and Acciona Energía underscores a longstanding technological alliance, reaffirmed through this latest endeavor.

Notably, the Aldoga Solar Farm is slated to play a pivotal role in Queensland's narrative, as it is linked to a 15-year (PPA) with the state-owned energy company, Corporation. The energy generated at Aldoga will power Stanwell's ambitious green project, Central Queensland Hydrogen (CQ-H2), further propelling the region's transition towards cleaner energy alternatives.

Expected to supply nearly 185,000 households with clean electricity and mitigate over 930,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions annually, the Aldoga Solar Farm stands as a beacon of Australia's commitment to decarbonization efforts.

Jesús Echarte, Commercial Director of Ingeteam's photovoltaic business, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “Australia is undergoing an intense process of decarbonisation of its economy, maximising the use of renewable resources. We are very pleased to contribute to this objective with our experience and technology.”

Ingeteam's involvement in the project encompasses the supply of 81 power stations equipped with 157 INGECON SUN 3Power C series central PV inverters, showcasing cutting-edge solar inverter technology tailored for the Australian market. Additionally, the contract encompasses commissioning services and the implementation of the Power Plant Controller (PPC) system.
