Soltech Group, a solar energy provider, has unveiled its latest addition to Sweden's renewable landscape with the inauguration of a 5.8-megawatt solar park in the province of Halland, located in the western part of the country. The project, aptly named Oringe solpark, marks another stride towards sustainable energy solutions in the region.
Owned by Soltech Group and executed by its subsidiary, Soltech Energy Solutions, the solar park is poised to play a pivotal role in the local energy grid. With an estimated operational lifespan of approximately 40 years, the project is projected to generate revenues totaling around SEK 150 million (USD 13.8 million / EUR 12.8 million), as per the company's recent press release.
Situated in Getinge, just outside the city of Halmstad, the sprawling solar park spans across 70,000 square meters of land. Its infrastructure boasts 8,780 photovoltaic (PV) panels, anticipated to yield an annual power output of approximately 5.7 gigawatt-hours (GWh). This output is equivalent to fulfilling the electricity needs of about 1,200 households, illustrating the substantial impact of renewable energy initiatives on local communities.
The journey towards the realization of Oringe solpark commenced in July 2023, with construction efforts swiftly progressing to bring the project to fruition.
In a testament to Soltech Group's commitment to advancing renewable energy solutions, the company's annual financial report showcases notable achievements in solar PV capacity deployment. Over the past year, Soltech has successfully commissioned 114 megawatts peak (MWp) of solar PV capacity, a commendable increase from the 101 MWp deployed in 2022.
Commenting on the milestone, a spokesperson from Soltech Group remarked, “The inauguration of Oringe solpark underscores our unwavering dedication to expanding the reach of sustainable energy solutions. This project not only signifies a significant addition to our renewable portfolio but also reinforces our commitment to driving positive environmental change.”
With Oringe solpark now operational, Soltech Group continues to spearhead efforts towards a greener, more sustainable future, one solar panel at a time.
