Greenvolt Next, a unit of Portuguese renewables firm Greenvolt – Energias Renovaveis SA, revealed on Monday its plan to install 14 MWp of solar panels for local chemical company Bondalti.
The initiative will see the installation of 24,720 photovoltaic (PV) panels at Bondalti's unit in Estarreja municipality, situated in Portugal's central coastal region. Once operational, these solar panels are projected to generate 21,049 MWh annually, contributing significantly to the factory's electricity requirements.
Pedro Ramalhosa, co-founding partner of Greenvolt Next Portugal, highlighted the agreement as a prime opportunity to showcase the efficacy of solar power in reducing energy costs for major industrial consumers.
Greenvolt Next Portugal, specializing in the distributed generation (DG) market, currently has 184.8 MWp reserved for future development, signaling a continued focus on expanding solar energy infrastructure.
