Fred Olsen Windcarrier Secures Contract for Baltica 2 Offshore Wind Farm Installation

Renewable energy firm has been awarded a contract by Orsted and PGE to install 48 out of the 107 turbines planned for the 1500MW offshore wind farm in . The company will deploy one of its specialized jack-up vessels for the project, mobilizing it to the designated loadout quay and subsequently to the Baltica 2 site during spring 2027.

Alexandra Koefoed, Chief Executive of Fred Olsen Windcarrier, expressed pride in being chosen as a reliable partner for the project by Orsted and PGE. The contract signifies a strategic move for the company in the highly prioritized Polish wind energy market.

Baltica 2 was selected for the first phase of Poland's offshore wind buildout program by the Polish Energy Regulatory Office (ERO) in 2021, securing the Contract for Difference (CFD). The wind farm, located in the Polish part of the , is a key component of the country's ambitious offshore wind expansion plans.
