US-based and storage developer Clenera Holdings LLC, a subsidiary of Enlight Renewable Energy Ltd from Israel, has finalized a busbar power off-take deal for a 344-MW solar park set to be constructed in .

The 30-year (PPA) was successfully negotiated with the Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD), a key electricity provider serving Sacramento County and parts of Placer County.

This comprehensive agreement not only secures the output of the solar park but also includes a commitment from SMUD to utilize the capacity provided by the park's 688-MWh over a 20-year period. Additionally, an interconnection agreement for the project has been formally signed.

Country Acres Clean Power LLC, an affiliate of Clenera, is spearheading the development of this venture in Placer County. The project's unique approach involves utilizing the site for both power generation and agricultural purposes.

Construction of the photovoltaic (PV) park is slated to commence next year, with commercial operations expected to kick off in 2026. The anticipated output is substantial, with the project estimated to provide enough energy to power approximately 80,000 homes annually.

Commenting on this milestone, Gilad Yavetz, CEO of Enlight, expressed enthusiasm, stating, “This project, which represents our first venture in California since acquiring Clenera, further strengthens our market leadership in the Western U.S. and adds to our mature portfolio. It demonstrates visibility through 2026 via the conversion of our high-quality pipeline.”
