French developer has entered into a sales agreement with HYmpulsion to supply green for the Zero Emission Valley (ZEV) carbon-free mobility project in the Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes region.

Under the 10-year deal, Lhyfe will provide 1.6 tonnes of hydrogen per day for seven of HYmpulsion's hydrogen stations located in the Alps. The hydrogen supply will originate from a 5-MW green hydrogen plant that Lhyfe plans to construct in Le Cheylas by mid-2025. The electrolysis facility, situated at a former steelworks waste storage site, will boast a daily capacity of 2 tonnes and also serve local industrial companies.

Thierry Raevel, Chairman of HYmpulsion and Regional Director for Engie, highlighted the significance of the project, stating, “This project will provide a supply for the HYmpulsion stations, in addition to the hydrogen from our 2 MW electrolyser (approximately 800 kg of hydrogen a day).”

HYmpulsion's shareholders include the Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes region, Engie, , Credit Agricole, and Banque des Territoires. This collaboration underscores the commitment to advancing green hydrogen in support of regional carbon-free mobility initiatives.
