, in partnership with PTSC Mechanical & Construction (PTSC M&C), has clinched a significant engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract for a robust 500MW offshore substation destined for the Feng Miao offshore wind farm project. Copenhagen Partners (CIP) is the driving force behind the development of this groundbreaking venture.

Situated approximately 36 kilometers off the coast of Taichung city on Taiwan's western seaboard, the Feng Miao offshore wind farm has secured a substantial 500MW grid capacity allocation from Taiwan's Ministry of Economic Affairs, with anticipated commissioning slated for 2027. The dynamic duo of Semco Maritime and PTSC M&C has officially commenced the execution phase for this ambitious project.

All structural components for this remarkable undertaking will be expertly fabricated at PTSC M&C's state-of-the-art yard in Vungtau City, Vietnam. Semco Maritime will play a pivotal role in the project, overseeing the design, procurement, and installation of high and medium voltage systems, SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data ) systems, and auxiliary systems. These efforts will be bolstered by the expertise of the primary sub-contractor, ISC Consulting Engineers.

Frank Holm, Vice President Renewables at Semco Maritime, expressed enthusiasm about the venture, stating, “Feng Miao is an exciting project representing a great opportunity for our consortium to further build on our joint experience from the Taiwanese Hai Long project, while simultaneously strengthening ties with the world-class team from Copenhagen Offshore Partners with a solid track record of leading offshore project development in Taiwan since 2017. We look forward to contributing to the continued development of the Taiwanese offshore wind industry in the coming years.”

Remarkably, this marks the third offshore substation project awarded to the Semco Maritime-PTSC M&C Consortium, following their successful collaborations on the Hai Long project in Taiwan and the Baltica 2 project in Poland. Their track record of delivering excellence in offshore infrastructure reinforces their position as key players in the global landscape. As they embark on this latest endeavor, the consortium is poised to make a substantial impact on Taiwan's growing offshore wind industry, further propelling the nation towards a sustainable and green energy future.
