Ampyr Solar Europe, a prominent player in the renewable energy sector, has successfully acquired a 390MW solar-storage portfolio in the United Kingdom from Tyler Hill. This strategic move highlights Ampyr Solar Europe’s commitment to expanding its clean energy footprint and supporting the country’s ambitious renewable goals. The portfolio consists of five grid-secured projects, which are currently undergoing the planning approval process.
In collaboration with Tyler Hill, Ampyr Solar Europe will oversee the development of these projects until they reach the “ready-to-build” stage, with construction expected to commence in 2024. Furthermore, Ampyr Solar Europe’s in-house power purchase agreement (PPA) team will actively seek long-term power offtakers to utilize the renewable energy generated by these projects.

The projects are strategically located in Somerset, Worcestershire, County Durham, and Moray, Scotland, which includes a Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project. By incorporating various regions, Ampyr Solar Europe aims to maximize the potential of solar energy and contribute significantly to the United Kingdom’s transition towards achieving its net-zero targets.
Matthew van Staden, the commercial lead at Ampyr Solar Europe, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership with Tyler Hill, stating, “We are thrilled to be working with Tyler Hill on this transaction.
