Mingyang Smart Energy has appointed Peter Wolf as director of transport and installation for Europe, the company said.
Wolf most recently served as head of technical development offshore at Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy and previously held the role of global head of heavy lifting at the turbine maker.
He has also held senior positions at DNV GL, STRABAG and SAL Heavy Lift.
Mingyang Europe chief executive Horatio Evers said the appointment would support the group’s ambitions in the region.
“Delivering highly innovative products is one part of the equation – ensuring reliable and efficient logistics is equally critical,” Evers said.
“Peter’s leadership will strengthen our capabilities in this important area,” he added, describing Wolf as “instrumental” to the company’s European growth plans.
Wolf will report to Mingyang chief technology officer Marc Sala.
