BELECTRIC has secured contracts to construct four photovoltaic plants in the UK with a combined capacity of nearly 210MWp for Severn Trent Green Power (STGP), the companies said.
The projects, located in Warwickshire, Shropshire, Yorkshire and North Yorkshire, are scheduled to begin construction in March 2026, with commercial operations expected between August 2027 and January 2028.
BELECTRIC, part of Elevion Group, said the Warwickshire site will incorporate designated skylark protection areas to support biodiversity. The company added that the developments present engineering challenges, including overhead power lines and gas pipelines crossing the project areas.
“These are the first solar projects of scale that STGP is bringing forward, and they mark an important step in our long-term commitment to renewable energy,” said Jonathon Wroe, managing director at Severn Trent Green Power.
BELECTRIC chief executive Thorsten Blanke said the company’s European platform would support delivery of the portfolio under complex site conditions.
