Ireland’s Department of Climate, Energy and the Environment has launched a consultation on the terms and conditions for the sixth round of the Renewable Energy Support Scheme (RESS6).
The department is seeking views from developers on whether the contract length under the scheme should be changed, and whether longer contracts could help drive lower bid prices.
It is also considering extending the relief period for projects affected by judicial review or system operator-related delays from two years to three years.
