Dutch marine contractor Van Oord has appointed Jeroen Sanders as chief transformation officer, effective 1 March 2026, the company said.
Sanders brings more than 28 years of experience in leading large-scale transformation and change initiatives and most recently served as chief transition officer at Dutch grid operator Enexis Groep, according to Van Oord.
In the newly created role, Sanders will oversee Van Oord’s transformation agenda and lead multi-year programmes aimed at strengthening organisational effectiveness and operational excellence. The position forms part of Van Oord’s Executive Committee.
“We are excited to welcome Jeroen to Van Oord,” chief executive Govert van Oord said in a statement. “His drive, expertise and proven ability to lead major transformations will give powerful momentum to our transformation programme. With Jeroen on board, we are accelerating our journey to become a more effective, and future-ready organisation,” he added.
Van Oord said the appointment reflects its focus on adapting its organisation and operations as it continues to expand its activities in offshore wind and other maritime infrastructure markets.
