Global Wind Service (GWS) said it has completed pre-assembly work on 66 turbines for the 924MW Greater Changhua 2 offshore wind farm in Taiwan, marking a key milestone for the project.
The company said the work was carried out in partnership with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy, Ørsted and crane provider BMS. According to GWS, all milestones were delivered on schedule, including updates made during the project.
More than 140 technicians contributed to the execution, the company said. GWS added that the project supported workforce development, with more than 20 technicians progressing into new roles through skills training.
Rasmus Ravn, a senior manager at GWS, said the achievement reflected strong cooperation across partners. “We are extremely proud of the team and the collaboration behind Greater Changhua 2,” he said. “Delivering to schedule on a new turbine platform is a significant achievement and a proof of the professionalism and dedication of everyone involved.”
GWS said the completion strengthens its position in the Asia-Pacific offshore wind market and underscores its focus on safety and quality in complex international projects. The company describes itself as a provider of installation and service solutions with experience across both offshore and onshore wind developments.
