Susie Lind has confirmed her departure as Managing Director of the UK partnership between offshore wind developers Bluefloat Energy and Nadara, ending a three-year tenure that saw her oversee the development of a 4.4 gigawatt floating wind portfolio in Scottish waters.
Lind, who also served as Bluefloat’s UK country manager since October 2022, played a key role in advancing five proposed floating wind farms — Bellrock, Broadshore, Stromar, Sinclair, and Scaraben — under the ScotWind leasing round.
Her exit comes amid industry speculation that Bluefloat’s parent company, Quantum Capital Group, is in advanced discussions to transfer ownership of Bluefloat’s UK and Italian floating wind assets to Nadara. Neither party has publicly confirmed the outcome of those talks.
“After three years of leading the Bluefloat Energy–Nadara partnership in the UK, the time has come to move on,” Lind said. “It will always remain an incredibly special experience for me with a very special team, and I know the Bellrock, Broadshore, Stromar, Sinclair and Scaraben projects are in brilliant hands with lots to come.”
Lind’s broader industry roles include serving as a non-executive director at Scottish Renewables and RenewableUK. She was also vice chair of the Offshore Wind Industry Council until earlier this month.
The leadership change comes at a time of growing focus on the UK’s floating wind sector, which is seen as central to meeting long-term renewable energy targets and decarbonisation goals in the North Sea.
