Swedish renewable energy developer Eolus Vind has changed its name to Eolus, a move the company says aligns with its broader international presence and diversified operations across the renewable energy sector.
The rebranding was approved by the Swedish Companies Registration Office and is part of a wider strategic initiative aimed at reinforcing the company’s brand as it continues to expand beyond wind energy.
“Eolus was founded in 1990 as a wind power developer in Sweden. Today, we are an international company that develops, realises, and manages projects in wind power, solar power, and energy storage across several markets in Europe and the United States,” Chief Executive Per Witalisson said in a statement.
“I am therefore very pleased that we can now finally update our company name, making our identity clearer to our stakeholders,” Witalisson added.
The company stated that the simplified name better represents its full scope of activities and its ambition to support the transition to a sustainable energy system.
