Shoreline Wind, a company known for its offshore wind capabilities, has launched a full-scale platform tailored to the onshore wind sector, aiming to support project planning, construction, and operations and maintenance (O&M) through advanced simulation and resource management tools.
The Norway-based firm said it is applying its simulation-first approach, previously used in offshore wind, to help developers and operators build more efficient and lower-risk onshore wind projects in an increasingly cost-sensitive environment.
“We’re bringing the full power of Shoreline’s simulation and resource management capabilities to the onshore wind market to support onshore’s evolution,” said Ole-Erik Endrerud, Shoreline’s founder and chief product officer.
The new platform is powered by the company’s proprietary artificial intelligence software, Shoresim AI. The system is designed to deliver real-time operational insights, adaptive work orders, and multi-scenario analyses that address logistical, environmental, and regulatory constraints.
Shoreline said its technology is already being used by Japanese renewable energy developer Renova. The company noted that in Japan, simulations helped address tidal and transport challenges, while in the Philippines, the platform enabled more efficient planning for a remote site.
Endrerud added, “Digital tools that integrate development, construction, and operations are no longer optional in the onshore market. They are essential to navigating a market shifting from a boom period to one of disciplined, resilient, and efficient performance.”
The platform also offers portfolio-level planning to optimise workforce and equipment use across multiple projects, addressing what Shoreline describes as a growing need for smarter project execution amid tighter margins.
