Vestas Secures Major 134-MW Wind Order for Inaniwa Energy Center in Japan

wind turbine manufacturer Wind Systems A/S has announced the of a 134-MW order for the Inaniwa Wind Energy Center, located in 's Iwate prefecture.

This order, described by Vestas as its largest onshore contract in Japan to date, comes from US clean energy developer Invenergy, which has contracted the supply of 32 units of Vestas' V117-4.2 MW turbines.

In addition to turbine supply, the agreement includes a 20-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement, ensuring ongoing support and maintenance.

Turbine deliveries are scheduled for the first half of 2027, with the facility expected to be commissioned in the first quarter of 2028.

Since entering the Japanese market in 1993, Vestas has installed over 1,180 MW of wind capacity, reinforcing its commitment to the region's development.
