Cadeler has officially named Wind Pace, its seventh wind installation vessel, at a ceremony held at the COSCO shipyard in Qidong, China. The vessel, which is the second of its kind in the P-class series, has been built to meet the growing demands of next-generation offshore wind farm projects.
Like its sister vessel Wind Peak, Wind Pace is specifically designed to handle the increasing size and complexity of modern wind turbines, according to Cadeler. The vessel is set to play a key role in supporting offshore wind energy projects worldwide.
“Wind Pace is a significant addition to our fleet, and we are excited to deploy her in upcoming offshore wind projects,” said a representative from Cadeler. “She will be instrumental in managing the scale and scope of the increasingly large wind turbines we are seeing in the industry.”
Wind Pace has already been assigned to several offshore wind farm projects and will sail directly to its first project in American waters following its delivery. The vessel's advanced design is expected to support the installation of larger turbines, contributing to the expansion of offshore wind energy capacity.
