Envision Energy has been awarded a contract to supply 58 megawatts (MW) of wind turbine generators for the Libmanan Wind Power Project, a new renewable energy initiative in the Philippines developed by Aboitiz Power Corporation. The agreement was finalized with the EPC contractor PC1 Group, based in Vietnam.

The Libmanan Wind Power Project, located in Camarines Sur, is expected to begin commercial operations by the end of 2026. The project is part of the Philippine government’s Green Energy Auction Program 2 (GEAP 2), an initiative designed to fast-track the development of renewable energy through competitive auctions. This effort is part of the country’s goal to achieve a 35% renewable energy share in its power mix by 2030.

Envision Energy’s wind turbines are expected to play a key role in the Philippines’ energy transition and decarbonization efforts. The project is also anticipated to contribute to local job creation and economic growth in the region.

John Lee, Envision Energy’s General Manager for Asia and Africa, commented: “We are proud to collaborate with PC1 Group on this landmark project invested by Aboitiz Power. Our turbines combine cutting-edge technology with localised solutions, making them ideal for the Philippines’ energy transition.”

The Libmanan Wind Power Project joins other significant contracts for Envision Energy in the Philippines, including turbine supplies for ACEN’s 344.5MW Quezon North wind project and Alternergy’s 128MW Tanay and 64MW Alabat wind projects.
