Nordex has appointed Patxi Landa, its current chief sales officer, to the newly created role of head of Nordex Capital. In this position, Landa will be responsible for supporting select customers in their project development across Nordex's key markets, with a focus on generating additional turbine sales opportunities.
José Luis Blanco, CEO of Nordex, will assume Landa's previous role as chief sales officer on the management board. Blanco explained the rationale behind the move, stating: “This strategic move reflects the company's desire to foster ever closer relationships with its customers while also supporting revenue growth within its core business.”
Landa, who joined Nordex in 2016 following the merger with Acciona Windpower, has played a pivotal role in the company's growth strategy. Under his leadership, Nordex's revenues have increased significantly, from €2.5 billion in 2018 to an expected €7 billion in 2024.
Blanco expressed confidence in Landa's new role, saying: “We are confident that he will do well in his new role, which is critical to achieving our strategic goals.”
