PNE AG has completed the sale of its two Swedish subsidiaries and associated project pipeline to Norwegian energy supplier Aneo. The transaction includes PNE's subsidiaries, PNE Sverige AB, based in Gothenburg, and VKS Vindkraft Sverige AB, located in Motala.
The project pipeline acquired by Aneo comprises wind energy and photovoltaic projects with a total potential output of 300MW, spanning various stages of development, in addition to another 700MW in early development phases. The parties have opted not to disclose the financial details of the deal.
Heiko Wuttke, CEO of PNE AG, expressed satisfaction with the sale, stating: “We are delighted that in Aneo we have found a buyer who is just as committed to the expansion of renewable energies as we are. Aneo will also take over the employees of the two companies and continue the projects that we have built up. We will invest the proceeds from the sale in the further growth of our core markets.
PNE AG, an international player in the renewable energy sector, has been developing onshore and offshore wind projects for over 30 years. This sale reflects the company's strategy to focus on its core markets while continuing to support the global growth of renewable energy.
