Energy, a global leader in , has officially broken ground on a new manufacturing facility in Kazakhstan. The plant, which will produce wind turbines and systems (BESS), marks a significant step forward in the country's energy sector.

The ceremony, attended by key officials including Sungat Yesimkhanov, Vice Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan, and Kane Xu, Senior Vice President of Envision Energy, follows a partnership agreement signed last month with Kazakhstan Utility Systems, a major energy provider in the region.

The $40 million investment will enable the factory to produce 2 gigawatts (GW) of wind turbines annually, equivalent to 250 units, and 1 gigawatt-hour (GWh) of BESS, delivering 100 units each year. Around 60% of the plant's output is slated for the domestic market, while the remaining 40% will be exported to neighboring regions, including Central Asia and the Caucasus.

“We are delighted to partner with Kazakhstan Utility Systems LLP on this innovative initiative,” said Kane Xu, Senior Vice President of Envision Energy. “By leveraging our cutting-edge industry technologies, Envision will support Kazakhstan in reducing carbon emissions, advancing clean energy, and attracting international investments and technologies.

The factory, expected to begin operations by the third quarter of 2026, will create over 3,000 jobs, including 300 core production roles. The project aims to foster local expertise and contribute to the development of Kazakhstan's renewable energy capabilities.

Asset Kanagatov, Deputy Governor of Zhetysu Region, and Dinmukhamet Idrisov, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Kazakhstan Utility Systems, highlighted the strategic importance of the project. Idrisov noted, “Collaboration with Envision Energy opens unique opportunities for Kazakhstan in developing renewable energy and localizing high-tech production.

The plant will also feature a service and technical support center, designed to enhance the skills of local workers and contribute to the professional development of Kazakhstan's workforce. Additionally, the project will involve research collaboration with local universities to tailor the products to the specific needs of Kazakhstan's energy market.

Envision Energy has committed to providing technical support throughout the lifecycle of the project, offering expertise in the design, production, and operation of renewable energy plants and storage systems.

This initiative is seen as a critical step in Kazakhstan's transition to a more sustainable energy future, potentially reducing transportation costs and minimizing environmental impacts while meeting increasing market demands.
