Nordex has secured turbine orders totaling 359 megawatts (MW) from customers in Greece and Spain, further expanding its presence in these markets. The orders include a mix of wind farms located in various regions of both countries.

In December 2024, Nordex received orders from four customers in Spain for wind farms in Castilla y León, Navarra, Andalusia, and Aragón. The orders encompass 42 turbines, including 27 N163/5.X turbines, 13 N163/6.X turbines, and 2 N149/5.X machines. The contracts also include long-term servicing agreements, with terms ranging from 10 to 25 years, depending on the specific project.

These Spanish orders bring Nordex’s total volume in the country for 2024 to 524MW. Patxi Landa, Chief Sales Officer (CSO) of the Nordex Group, commented, “The proven success of our N163 turbines continues to pay off and continues to consolidate our good market position in the country.

In Greece, PPC Renewables has ordered 19 N149/5.X turbines for three wind farms in northern Greece and the Peloponnese region. The Rodopi, Livadaki, and Timenio wind farms will be built in the Rhodope Mountains, Phocis, and Arcadia, respectively. With these new orders, Nordex has surpassed 1 gigawatt (GW) of turbines sold in Greece since reactivating its operations there in 2018.

Landa added, “With these new orders we are solidifying our position as a key player in the Greek market. We have surpassed the mark of 1 GW sold turbines and are proud of this success since we reactivated our business in Greece in 2018.
