French inspection and certification services group Bureau Veritas SA has announced its acquisition of Dutch technical advisory firm Versatec Energy BV.
Versatec provides services to both the offshore and onshore energy sectors, with expertise in commissioning and start-up, asset due diligence, operational assurance and readiness, and project management.
The company has worked on more than 1,500 projects across Europe, Asia Pacific, the Middle East, and Africa, generating revenues of EUR 4.2 million in 2023.
In a statement, Bureau Veritas said, “This acquisition enables Bureau Veritas to expand its service offering in crucial areas including oil and gas, nuclear energy, and renewable energy solutions like offshore wind and carbon capture storage and utilization (CCSU).”
Earlier in 2024, Bureau Veritas also acquired ArcVera Renewables, a Colorado-based company specializing in finance-grade consulting and technical services for wind, solar, and battery storage projects.
