Poseidon Cables Secures Contract for Taiwan’s Greater Changhua Offshore Wind Farms

has been awarded a contract by NCT Offshore to handle pre-rigging and pull-in operations for the inter-array cables at Ørsted's 920MW 2b and 4 offshore wind farms in Taiwan.

Located 35 to 60 kilometers off the coast of Changhua County, the Greater Changhua offshore wind complex will be Taiwan's largest wind power facility. Once operational, it is expected to produce clean energy sufficient for 1 million Taiwanese households annually.

Poseidon Cables highlighted the significance of the contract in a statement:

“Our role involves the precise pre-rigging for, and pull-in of, inter-array cables. This contract marks a significant milestone for us on our journey to becoming a leading provider of high-quality cable solutions in the sector. Our expertise will play a crucial role in the successful execution of the Greater Changhua 2b and 4 project, supporting Taiwan's goals.”

The project aligns with Taiwan's ambitions to expand renewable energy capacity and reduce dependence on fossil fuels, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable development in the region.
