German Agri-PV solutions provider feld.energy GmbH has secured EUR 1.7 million (USD 1.8 million) in a pre-seed funding round aimed at advancing its technology, which allows farmers to use their land for both agriculture and solar power generation.
The funding round was led by HV Capital, an early-stage and growth investor, with additional support from Angel Invest, CoInvest, and other backers. The startup plans to utilize the capital to expand its team and further develop its innovative technology.
Feld.energy's solution has the potential to generate up to EUR 4,000 per hectare annually, according to HV Capital. The company's technology combines renewable energy generation with agricultural productivity, offering farmers a way to increase land value while promoting sustainability.
Adrian Renner, co-founder and CEO of feld.energy, described the investment as a crucial step in realizing the potential of Agri-PV solutions, which help farmers integrate clean energy production into their operations while improving crop yield and sustainability.
