has selected South Korea's Hyosung Heavy Industries to supply ultra-high voltage equipment for its 2,600 MW Hornsea 4 wind farm.

This agreement is contingent on the project reaching its final investment decision (FID), expected in approximately 18 months, with Orsted aiming for site commissioning by 2030.

Hyosung Heavy Industries will supply 400 kV ultra-high voltage transformers and reactors for the wind farm, located 69 kilometers off 's coast.

Awarded a contract for difference (CfD) in September, Hornsea 4 received planning consent in 2023.

Orsted plans to install up to 180 turbines at the site, strengthening its position as a significant contributor to the UK's offshore wind capacity.
