Nine companies, including seven international firms and two Colombian entities, have filed accreditation documents with 's National Hydrocarbons Agency (ANH) as part of the initial stage of the country's inaugural Wind Energy Round.

The accreditation will enable the Colombian government to assess the experience and capacity of these firms in developing offshore wind and other non-conventional renewable energy projects.

Among the companies expressing interest are BlueFloat Energy (Spain), (Denmark), and DEME (Belgium), Powerchina and (China), Dyna Energy (UK), as well as Ecopetrol and Celsia from Colombia.
