Toshiba Secures 30 MW Contract for Wayang Windu Geothermal Power Expansion in Indonesia

Energy Systems & Solutions Corp has announced that it has received an order for a steam turbine and generator with a capacity of 30 MW for the expansion of the Power Plant in .

The contract was awarded by PT Inti Karya Persada Tehnik (IKPT), a subsidiary of Toyo Engineering Corp, which serves as the EPC contractor for the expansion of Unit 3 at the facility, owned and operated by Star Energy Group.

Indonesia, with an estimated geothermal capacity of around 30 GW, aims to increase its overall power generation capacity by approximately 40.6 GW by 2030.

Geothermal energy is projected to contribute 3.35 GW, accounting for 8% of the total expansion.

To date, Toshiba has delivered six steam turbines and generators for geothermal plants in Indonesia, totaling a combined capacity of 311 MW.
