Energia has successfully completed the installation of turbines at its 25MW Crossmore wind farm in County Clare, Ireland. The final turbine was installed at the site near Lissycasey, with the process managed by the Energia Renewables construction team in collaboration with turbine provider Enercon, which supplied and erected all seven units.
The commissioning and testing phase for the hardware will begin in the coming weeks and will continue until the wind farm is fully operational, anticipated by next summer.
Once operational, Crossmore will feature a community benefit fund that will start allocating project grants one year after the commencement of commercial operations in 2026.
The fund will be administered by an independent charitable trust on behalf of Energia and will seek applications from community groups for projects that focus on energy efficiency, sustainability, and community resilience.
