ISG Renewables, a joint venture between Innova and Schroders Greencoat, has signed a 15-year corporate power purchase agreement (CPPA) with Anglian Water for the output of its 28MW Elms Farm solar project in the UK. The deal will supply traceable renewable energy to Anglian Water.
EDF will provide power balancing and shaping services, ensuring a consistent and reliable energy transfer to Anglian Water through its licensed supplier, SSE.
The Elms Farm solar farm, currently under construction, is expected to begin operations later this year and will generate 29,000 megawatt hours of electricity annually, which will be fully delivered to Anglian Water over the course of the CPPA.
Andy Peyman, Head of Energy Sales at Innova, highlighted the importance of the agreement, saying, “We're delighted to have worked in partnership with Anglian Water on this PPA, especially in such challenging times for the energy markets. The PPA was critical for the site's progress, and we look forward to bringing the solar farm to energisation in the coming months.”
