At the 2024 International Engineering Supply Chain Development Conference on October 17, Arctech signed an order with China Energy Engineering Group International Engineering Co., Ltd. for a 2.3 GW photovoltaic project in Saudi Arabia. This agreement strengthens the ongoing collaboration between the two parties in the Middle East energy sector.
The Saudi Hadran photovoltaic project is a key demonstration initiative supporting Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 and its objective of reaching net-zero emissions by 2060. Commercial operations for the project are expected to begin by early 2027.
The project will feature 2.3 GW of Arctech's Skyline II tracking systems, engineered to accommodate the desert terrain and withstand the high winds of western Saudi Arabia, improving electricity generation and project lifecycle returns.
Over 25 years, the project is projected to generate approximately 156.189 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, reducing nearly 147 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions, contributing to Saudi Arabia's long-term net-zero goals.
