Gore Street Energy Storage Secures Contract with Goldman Sachs for 200-MW Big Rock BESS Project in California

Gore Street Fund PLC has signed a contract with J Aron & Company LLC, a subsidiary of , for half of the capacity of its 200-MW Big Rock energy storage system (BESS) project located in Imperial County, . The project is expected to be energised by December.

Under the agreement, Gore Street has secured a fixed-price resource adequacy (RA) contract worth over USD 14 million (EUR 12.8 million) annually, which will take effect in the summer of 2025.

This contract mandates a minimum duration of four hours, resulting in 100 MW of RA deliverability for the BESS.

Gore Street acquired the Big Rock project, its largest asset, from Avantus (formerly known as 8minute) in 2023.
