LONGi Hydrogen, a subsidiary of LONGi Green Energy Technology Co Ltd, has successfully delivered electrolysers for a pilot green ammonia project in Uzbekistan.
The company announced last week that it shipped four sets of 1,000 normal cubic metres per hour (Nm3/h) high-current-density medium-pressure alkaline electrolyser equipment for the 20-MW initiative.
This project marks the first phase of what will become Saudi Arabia's ACWA Power Co's second utility-scale green hydrogen project, following the NEOM Green Hydrogen Project in Saudi Arabia.
LONGi Hydrogen President Jun Ma highlighted the significance of this venture, stating, “This is the first project in Central Asia for LONGi Hydrogen which marks a significant milestone for global development.”
Additionally, it was recently revealed that the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) will provide a financial package to support the pilot hydrogen project in Uzbekistan.
