Skyborn Renewables has finished installing all 80 turbines for the 640MW Yunlin Offshore Wind Farm, bringing the project closer to completion.
With the installation of 80 foundations and turbines now in place, and work on 78 out of 81 cables finished, the project is nearing its final stages.
“Thanks to the dedication of our team and partners, the project is on track to deliver on its promise and fully commission the Yunlin project by the end of 2024,” the company stated, adding appreciation for the continuous support of the Taiwanese government.
The Yunlin project is a major focus for Skyborn Renewables, delivering electricity through two 20-year power purchase agreements.
Upon completion, it will provide power to over 600,000 households in Taiwan. Situated in the Taiwan Strait, the wind farm has already contributed more than 1.6TWh of renewable energy to the grid.
