BrightNight Secures $260 Million for 300-MW Solar Project in Arizona

Renewable energy firm has secured a USD 260-million tax-equity financing commitment for the 300-MW Box Canyon project in . The financing will be provided by affiliates of and Capital One NA.

The Box Canyon facility, located in Pinal County, is part of a 2-GW portfolio that BrightNight owns with . The project is set to begin operations in the first half of 2025 and is expected to generate over 900,000 MWh annually.

The solar plant will supply power to the Southwest Public Power Agency (SPPA), marking the agency's largest renewable energy procurement to date.
