Engineering has completed the engineering analysis for 's first installation (WTIV), which will be used in an upcoming offshore wind project. The company's scope of work covered a comprehensive range of assessments, including leg penetration analysis (LPA), site-specific assessment (SSA), seismic analysis, liquefaction risk analysis, leg extraction analysis, and consultancy for the jack-up's foundation design.

Zahidur Rahman, principal structural engineer at Longitude Engineering, commented: “The foundation concept using mud-mats welded to spudcan footings is a novel approach to mitigate the deep penetration and punch-through risks that we identified during our initial leg penetration analyses.”

Longitude, a division of ABL, leveraged its extensive experience across both oil and gas and sectors to deliver these services, supporting Korea Blue Energy Total Solution (K BETS) in the project. Rahman added, “It's really exciting to apply our knowledge to South Korea's first offshore wind installation vessel.”

Longitude's multidisciplinary engineering expertise enables it to provide advanced technical studies and simulations, assessing the operability and performance of jack-ups in various environments worldwide.
