German clean energy technology startup Spine GmbH has raised EUR 1.5 million (USD 1.67 million) in its first funding round to expand its team and develop its technical products.
The Munich-based company, founded in February 2024, focuses on creating software solutions for controlling energy-consuming devices such as charging infrastructure, heat pumps, and battery storage systems.
Investors in the round included Verbund X Ventures, the venture capital arm of Austrian utility Verbund AG, as well as Bayern Kapital, the venture capital organization of Bavaria.
The round also saw participation from Superangels and Scrape Ventures.
Spine GmbH is currently active in Germany, with plans to expand into other European markets. The funding provides the startup with a strong foundation for future growth, the company stated.
