Nordex to Supply Turbines for Major 147.6-MW Wind Project in Poland

German wind turbine manufacturer has secured a contract to supply and install 41 turbines for a 147.6-MW wind project in , developed by German renewables operator and owned by Polish energy firm Tauron Zielona Energia SA.

The agreement involves Nordex's N117/3600 turbines, which will be mounted on tubular steel towers with a hub height of 134 meters (approximately 439.6 feet).

Additionally, the contract includes a premium service agreement for a duration of 30 years.

Turbine deliveries are scheduled to commence at the end of 2025, with the Miejska Gorka wind farm, located in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, expected to become operational in early 2027.

VSB Group will oversee the work, set to begin in 2025, and will also manage a planned expansion to include an additional 12 turbines.

Upon completion, the site will feature a total of 53 turbines with an overall capacity of 190.8 MW, positioning it as one of the largest wind farms in Poland.
