US clean energy transition firm Catalyze announced on Wednesday its selection of GreenSpark Solar as the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) partner for a new portfolio of community solar projects in New York.
The portfolio, which will have a total capacity of 60 megawatts, includes 10 individual projects.
This expansion adds to Catalyze's existing assets in New York, which include the Amherst solar project and other sites acquired through a recent transaction with BW Solar.
The community solar projects will receive partial funding from the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) under the NY-Sun Program.
Catalyze stated that the collaboration with GreenSpark Solar is intended to advance its ongoing initiatives, supported by a recent loan agreement with NY Green Bank. This partnership aims to further the development of community solar projects across the state.
